Back home in the States.

So it has been about three weeks since I have arrived home to the US of A. It was so nice to spend some time at home with my whole family whom I haven't seen for over 9 months. The minute my mom and sisters entered the Logan Airport I literally dropped my luggage at the baggage claim, running towards them and giving them the biggest hugs ever. There is nothing like home!

My last week in Spain was definitely unforgettable and made for a great ending for my life in Vitoria, Spain. I had all of my last tutoring lessons allowing me to say good-bye to all of the locals whom I have become such good friends with. I got the opportunity to go on a little excursion for the afternoon with my friend, Aioria, whom I met from initially giving her tutoring lessons and then later we started to meet occasionally to practice our English and Spanish. We took her car outside of Vitoria and went to this big reservoir surrounded by lots of beautiful, green land. It was a beautiful drive and nice to see another area in the Basque Country.

I also went into my school the Friday before I left to say good-bye to all of the English teachers and then I went to most of my classes to individually say good-bye. In one of my classes they all got up to give me the kisses on the cheek which is a common form of greeting in Spain and other countries in Europe. Which was so cute.

For my last weekend. My friend, Dana, came to Vitoria to see me before I left. On Friday night we had all of our friends over for a homemade pizza dinner party where I helped my roommates make Italian pizza from scratch. It was great to have a last dinner with all my friends who were still there. Saturday was a beautiful day so we decided to go to San Sebastian for the day and enjoy the beautiful beach. We then had our last night out in Vitoria and I headed home late Sunday night. It was so surreal saying good-bye to everyone. Ecspecially, my rommates who I have grown so close with these past couple months.

Even though my time in Vitoria, Spain has ended I have decided to come back to Spain next year and take part in the same program. Except I will be living in Cordoba, Spain in Andalusia which is a region in the Southern part of the country. I am excited to come back and experience something completely new. As weird as it might be starting over again and not knowing anybody. At least I will have friends to visit and people to come see me who I have met this last year.

I am now spending the summer in Cape Cod with some friends from New Hampshire looking for a job. I will start up my blogs again once I arrive in Spain in September for year 2. So stay tuned. Thanks to everyone for following all my adventures and all your support.
